One Book 2014

Are you reading???

Community partners have announced “Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice and Redemption” as this year’s One Book selection. One Book 2014 kicks off with a mock trial where audience members will be given a glimpse into the judicial process and will take part in a jury selection and a lineup demonstration, both events which play prominently in the bestselling novel.

The month long community wide read concludes with an authors lecture on Oct. 18th featuring New York Times bestselling authors of “Picking Cotton”, Jennifer Thompson-Cannino and Ronald Cotton. Both authors will share their story of forgiveness with audience members and will sign copies of their books. Tickets to the event are $10.
