Spend your Saturdays with your kiddos at the Center, watching fantastic performances and participating in engaging workshops all brought to you by Thomasville Entertainment Foundation in partnership with Thomasville Center for the Arts! Family Fun Saturdays are designed to provide affordable family entertainment for all. Performances include a free workshop following the show. Pre-registration for workshops required. Cashore Marionettes • February 18, 2017 • 2 pm

Simple Gifts is a series of touching portrayals and scenes from everyday life set to stunning music. Through manipulation, music, theatrical illusion, and artistic insight, the performance explores a range of emotions. Recommended for families with children 8 years and older.

Workshop Following the performance, Mr. Cashore will discuss various themes and the unique power of marionette communication. The session is recommended for middle schoolers and older. Pre-registration required.

Mallory & Lamb Chop • March 11, 2017 • 10 am

Made possible, in part, by a grant from GA Presenters and Fox Theatre Institute Introduce your child to the beloved icon, Lamb Chop, brought to life by Shari Lewis’ daughter, the award-winning Mallory Lewis. The performance, filled with music, comedy and audience participation, will resonate with audiences from toddlers to seniors.

Workshop Following the performance, children may make their own sock puppet to take home. Pre-registration required.

Family Drum DayMarch 18, 2017 • 10 am

Join Steve Campbell for an Art Free for All performance. In this exciting, character-building program, participants will learn rhythms, dances and songs covering character traits like fairness, responsibility and respect.

Workshop Immediately following the performance, join Steve Campbell for a Family Drum Workshop. Participants will have opportunities to play drums and percussion instruments.
